9:38 a.m. - 2008-02-06 Yes, I have a dog too. She is old and feeble, doesnt want to go in and out very often. I have to wake her up so mostly I just dont bother her. In this house, its more about the cats. As in, where are the cats? Are they on/under/hiding and on whose bed? Maybe they are fast alseep behind in books up in the loft. OH and is the butter safe? There have many a sniff and whisker tracks left in the butter. Mostly, watch out for your coffee. A cat that has just eaten some yummy and yet foul-smelling "tuna delight" dunks her face into your fresh cup of hot coffee when you arent looking. Then its Honey? What did you do to the coffee? It tastes a bit yucky today. Now walking by the staircase can be a hazard if you have weak heart. The cat in question is dark just like the stairs. A favorite pastime of hers to lie in wait for that unsuspecting person to walk by. She likes to wait at what I call shoulder-height. This is usually at night when the lights are off and I want to slip out to the kitchen. So walking by, trying not to disturb anyone, the cat reaches out with her paw and touches me on the shoulder just as I walk past. I stiffle a scream and check my pulse. Well, I'm alive enough to make it to the frig. Making up the bed in always an adventure. The cat simply wont move. So I throw the sheet over her, doesnt move...then the quilt, doesnt move, then the spread, doesnt move, finish off with the pillows and there is a lump right in the middle - not moving. Some where along the way, she decides she wants off the bed and begins to slink her way to the edge. Looking like an eel slithering along until she reaches the side and plummets to the floor oh so quietly. The lump is gone and a small wave of covers has been left in her wake. But now ofcourse, where has she gone?
