4:12 p.m. - 2008-01-13 Fat in America - its sooo much more than people. And I have discovered the reason for the ever-expanding waistline. Its the grocery cart. Yes, the humble grocery cart - has anyone else noticed the SIZE of these carts? So much bigger than ever before. The aisles are almost too small for carts to pass. Ofcourse, we as consumers feel an obligation to fill up these carts. Put 5 or 6 items in the basket and they look "lost". So lets just throw another 20+ more items so we can feel good about filling up our carts. We have this obsession with filling everything all the way to overflowing. We buy so much more than we need and by-golly, 3 days later we are right back at the store doing it again. Its time for normal-size carts so we can go back to being normal-size people.
